Expressing my feelings via poetry

I feel like I’m an empty shell
just going through the motions of life.
I put on a mask for the people around me
and hope they can’t see through the cracks.

What am I doing here?

I see old pictures of myself
and I don’t even recognize that girl anymore.
I miss the girl…
